Professor M. S. Yadav

Professor M. S. Yadav, in whose honor this Rural Research Center Trust has been founded, was an academician of exceptional scholarship and research excellence. Born in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, he pursued his M.Sc. in Mathematics at Meerut University, followed by an M.Ed. from the Institute of Advanced Study in Education (IASE), Shardarsahar, Rajasthan. He later earned his Ph.D. from Sardar Patel University, Gujarat.

He began his career as a Research Officer at NCERT, where he received advanced training in Research Methodology. He then joined the Center of Advanced Study in Education (CASE), M. S. University of Baroda, as Reader under the mentorship of the eminent educationist Dr. M. B. Buch. Prof. Yadav remained associated with CASE until his retirement as Professor and Head of the Department.

Throughout his distinguished career, Prof. Yadav guided numerous doctoral scholars, published extensively, and organized seminars and conferences across India. He carried forward the spirit of India’s Guru-Shishya Parampara, mentoring with dedication and humility.

Mrs. Ramlata Yadav, his devoted life partner, was a constant source of strength and inspiration. Fondly regarded as “Guruma” by his disciples, she played a remarkable role in supporting his academic journey and nurturing generations of scholars.

As the founder of this Research Center, I had the privilege of being his Ph.D. student and receiving his mentorship throughout my academic career. Establishing this Center is my humble tribute to him, a legacy now carried forward by many of his eminent disciples.
